Why we use angora wool
What are the advantages of angora?
Angora wool: extra warm, extra light
Angora wool is among the finest and warmest natural fibers in the world. In terms of fineness, it even surpasses cashmere. It is obtained from the exceptionally soft hair of the Angora rabbit. The secret to its extraordinary warmth lies in the structure of the fiber: inside, there are numerous tiny air pockets that store body heat while simultaneously protecting against the penetrating cold. As a result, Angora wool offers excellent thermal insulation while remaining exceptionally light and fine.
Warm undergarments made of Angora wool are warming, feather-light, supple, and breathable. Thanks to their very fine fibers, they feel pleasantly soft and are therefore perfectly suited for garments worn directly against the skin. Ideal for those who have a high need for warmth and prefer natural yarns over synthetic fibers.

Shop nowAngora wool: breathable and moisture-regulating
Good warmth alone is not enough when it comes to underwear. What matters is that the material also feels comfortable on the skin for many hours. Angora wool can absorb moisture and wick it outwards, while the fiber itself continues to feel comparatively dry. Angora can store up to 60 percent of its own weight in water in this way, whereas sheep's wool can only store 30 percent, and synthetic fibers almost none at all.
In this way, it supports a balanced body climate and helps to avoid uncomfortable moisture directly on the skin. This natural moisture regulation makes angora particularly interesting for people who feel the cold easily but do not want to break into a sweat.
Whether in everyday life, at the office, during a winter walk, or on particularly cold days: wearing warm angora underwear means gently and evenly protecting the body from cooling down. The breathable properties of the natural fiber prevent an uncomfortable buildup of heat. Instead of localized heat, a pleasant, consistent feeling of warmth is created.

Information about Angora
How do I properly wash underwear made of angora wool?
All our collection pieces containing angora are machine washable. To ensure your angora underwear stays beautiful and fluffy for a long time, please wash it at 30°C on a wool or gentle cycle and use only a special detergent for wool or delicates. After washing, it is best to dry flat and gently pull into shape. Do not tumble dry, do not dry clean.
Our tip: Air it out instead of washing!
Thanks to the natural hollow fibers of angora wool, moisture such as sweat is wicked away to the outside. This keeps the underwear pleasantly dry and offers little breeding ground for odor-causing bacteria. Therefore, in most cases, a good airing is sufficient to be able to wear your underwear again.
Does angora itch on the skin?
Angora wool is an exceptionally fine and lightweight fiber. Unlike sheep's wool, it has no small barbs—the surface of the fibers is particularly smooth. Angora also does not produce its own natural wool grease. Both of these factors contribute to angora wool generally being very skin-friendly and neither scratchy nor uncomfortable to wear against the skin. However, those with animal hair allergies should test whether they might also react to angora fibers when worn directly against the skin.
Where does angora wool come from?
For our entire product range, we exclusively use Angora hair from shorn Angora rabbits. To ensure this, the fibers are regularly tested by an independent laboratory during yarn production. Under a scanning electron microscope, the smooth cut surface of the shorn Angora hairs can be clearly identified.
Angora rabbits are very sensitive, which is why they can only be kept in temperate climates.

Which underwear is best suited for the intimate area?
Especially in the sensitive intimate area, fabrics made from breathable natural fibers such as angora, wool, cashmere, or silk are particularly suitable. They ensure a dry and healthy body climate and offer little breeding ground for bacteria or fungi.
You should, above all, avoid underwear made of pure synthetic fibers. They do not let the skin breathe, cause you to sweat, and can thus promote infections.
What is the healthiest underwear?
Ideally , good underwear is made of breathable, skin-friendly natural fibers. They allow air to circulate and prevent moisture or heat build-up. Pure synthetic fibers like polyester or nylon are less suitable. They can disrupt the microclimate and promote bacteria or fungal infections.
In addition, you should ensure that your underwear is free of harmful substances. All of our collections are certified according to the strict Oeko-Tex 100 standard and are therefore proven to be free of harmful substances. Furthermore, we consciously avoid toxic dyes or formaldehyde-based bleaches in our production.
